Sergeant First Class Daniel S. Rounds enlisted in the U.S. Army in 2008 after graduating from North Pole High School, Alaska. He underwent Basic Training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and pursued Advanced Individual Training at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, specializing as a 68A Biomedical Equipment Specialist. Serving with distinction, SFC Rounds deployed to Camp Adder, Iraq, from 2010 to 2011. Throughout his career, he has been stationed at various locations, including Fort Campbell, Kentucky; Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Germany; Yongsan, Korea; Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, Texas; Armed Forces Research Institute of Medical Sciences (WRAIR-AFRIMS), Bangkok, Thailand; and WRAIR-Africa. His dedication and commitment to duty have been recognized and he achieved the rank of Sergeant First Class in 2025. SFC Rounds continues to contribute significantly to the U.S. Army, bringing his expertise as a Biomedical Equipment Specialist to WRAIR-Africa’s operations across the African Continent.
